Issue


When trying to open Sprite DLight v0.4 on your Mac, you may receive this error message:
[0.4 Mac] The application "Sprite DLight" can't be opened. 9kWJDE8

Solution


You are most-likely receiving this error message because you unzipped the file with a third-party extraction software. Here is an easy way to fix this issue:


  • Delete the application, and download the .zip file again.
  • Right-click on the .zip, and open with Archive Utility.


Now Sprite DLight should open properly.

Thank you very much for reporting this issue and for finding and posting the solution to it.
I have been looking into the direction of the previous builds' issues with the Gatekeeper and executable flags, hoping to solve the problem, but I couldn't reproduce the error at all.
I am glad everything works now.
